At Broadfields, we have four teams called Red, Blue, Green and White.  Every child and member of staff belongs to a team that they stay with for their whole time at our school.  This means children can make friends with children from other classes of different ages. Children can earn points for their team by doing good work, having excellent behaviour and helping others.  The points are counted every week and the team with the most points at the end of the year wins a cup.

We also have a morning drop off club that children can come along to from 8am every morning for a small fee.  Our classes go on lots of trips to make our learning more exciting.  We have our own pond and nature garden, a fully equipped ICT room and access to an online learning environment called e-folio. We have many lunchtime and after school clubs including chess, choir, football, country dancing and recorder.  Children also have the opportunity to have musical instrument lessons and join the school orchestra.

Every child, from Nursery to Year 6, swim in our own on site swimming pool once a week with lessons from a qualified instructor.  Every week we give Star Pupils Awards for good effort and once a month every class gives a child the Big R Award.  This award if given for Reliable, Responsible and Respectful behaviour.  Big R winners are taken on a free trip at the end of the school year to celebrate their achievement. Last year we went to Legoland!
